Personal statement
As Deputy Head of Online Learning, I'm based centrally in Education Enhancement at the University. I work closely with the Head of Online Learning in leadership, strategy and operations that leverage opportunities, set standards, processes and methodologies to support online education activity across the institution.
I manage Strathclyde Online Learning Committee (SOL), working closely with the SOL Committee Convenor and Members to advance quality and standards of online education programmes expected by the University.
As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, I lead the development and embedding of principles and processes for online course development, endorsed by Strathclyde Online Learning Committee, for adoption across the institution.
A qualified project management practitioner, I oversee a wide portfolio of programmes and projects, including oversight of academic and professional services online course developments, and Graduate and Degree Apprenticeship course developments.
With a team 6 staff, I ensure a large portfolio of work is resourced through formal workload modelling and resource management. I engage with partners across the institution and actively develop collegiate working partnerships.
I'm an active community-builder and promote Strath LT-V to connect all Learning Technology and Video/Media staff to support and grow our community of practice. As core stakeholders and partners to online education at the University, Strath LT-V are instrumental to the implementation of strategy and are critical to upholding quality standards.
